In 2006, when our oldest son was eligible to start kindergarten, we decided to homeschool for his first year.  Immediately, his sister who was 15 months younger jumped in and began participating in the daily “school time” and, they were both reading by the end of the year.  We purchased new curriculum for their next year and we have never looked back.  It has been a difficult journey at times, but the benefits have far outweighed the difficulties.

This page lists some of the curricula we have had the opportunity to try and review, some of our best homeschooling tips and advice, and a listing of our weekly wrap up posts that allow a peek into our homeschool.
