Looking for a fun way to the true meaning of Easter? These easter egg scripture strips are perfect! Print them out and include them with your favorite easter candy in plastic easter eggs. Easter Egg Scripture Strips

The scriptures included on the printable strips are verses that remind us of the beauty of the resurrection and the hope that we have in Jesus.

What type of paper should the strips be printed on?

Print the easter egg scripture strips on regular copy paper. If you use a thicker paper like a card stock, the strips will not fold easily and may cause the plastic egg to open.

How should the scripture strips be shared?

The scripture strips should be packed in plastic fillable easter eggs and included in easter baskets for children. They filled eggs can also be given as gifts for Easter or used as table decorations for your Easter dinner. My favorite way to share them with children is to include them in the filled plastic eggs that we take to our church Easter egg hunt.

What kind of Easter candy should be included with the strips?

Any kind of candy can be shred with the strips. It is best that the candy is individually wrapped before placed in the plastic egg with the scripture strip so it does not melt and ruin the strip. We typically place the small bit sized chocolate candies from Hershey’s or small individual bags of jelly beans.

Also, if you have little who are not old enough to read or enjoy candy, you might plan some easter activities for babies.

What if you do not want to share candy in eggs with the Easter bible verses?

There plenty of non candy prizes you can include in plastic easter eggs with the bible verse strips. You can even find ideas for what to put in Easter eggs for babies. Here are a few ideas:

  • Money
  • Small trinket prizes from Party City or Oriental Trading Company
  • Tickets to collect for larger prizes
  • Numbers for numbered larger prizes

How to fill your Easter Eggs

I typically print off the Easter egg verse strips and have my children help cut them apart. Then, we typically read all of the verses together and talk about how they relate to Easter. We sometimes use the Easter scripture strips for our monthly scripture memory verses.
