I recently started a ketogenic diet. I can already tell a difference in the way my clothes fit and I can see the scale moving. However, the most significant improvement has been in the way I feel, and I attribute that mostly to my daily cup of bullet proof coffee.

Bullet proof coffee is simply MCT oil, Ghee and coffee. It doesn’t sound like much, but the benefits are huge! You can read all about the benefits of both MCT and Ghee by simply googling. What I can add is my own personal experience.
From my first day of drinking BPC, my mommy brain fog was gone. I have lots of energy to accomplish my daily tasks of keeping my home and homeschooling. Also, I do not get hungry until lunch time. This intermittent daily fasting has allowed me to lose weight.
After seeing my results, my husband started drinking BPC as well. He experienced many of the same results, but also had less swelling and aching in his joints.
Bullet Proof Coffee Recipe
There is no absolute recipe for BPC, but this is how I like mine. I can’t claim total credit for this recipe. I polled my group of keto dieting friends who were already raving about the benefits of a daily cup o’ BPC, and concocted my own recipe based on their recommendations.
10 oz hot coffee
1 Tablespoon MCT Oil
1 Tablespoon Organic Grass Fed Ghee
1 teaspoon Organic Real Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon carob powder
Pour hot coffee into blender. Add MCT, ghee and vanilla. Blend until frothy. Then, pour into mug and enjoy!
When Ghee is in more liquid form, measure out by tablespoons in an ice cube tray and chill. Pop cubes out and store in plastic bag in the refrigerator. This will be much easier than measuring solidified Ghee each morning.
