Are you a mom who struggles with focus, motivation, anxiety or fears? Do you feel like you are often robbed of your day by worry? These are all battles that are being fought in your mind so, lets work on our minds this month!
August is the perfect time to talk about strengthening our minds. The kids are going back to school. Even for many homeschoolers, it is the beginning of the homeschool year or the beginning of homeschool co-op. Everyone will be sharpening up, why not us moms?
The bible clearly links our thoughts to peace! If we want peace, we must take control of our thoughts. The verses we memorize this month will help us to do this.
What does the bible say about our thoughts?
First, the bible clearly tells us that we are in control of our thoughts. In fact, we are given a three step process of what to do with our thoughts:
- Take our Thoughts Captive (2 Corinthians 10:5)
- Bring them Into Obedience (2 Corinthians 10:5)
- Redirect Them (Philippians 4:8)
What are we promised when we control our thoughts?
In short, when we take our thoughts captive and focus on Jesus, we are promised peace. For a mom, peace is priceless.
