Are you a stay at home mom who feels like you’re constantly running around in circles? If you’re looking for ways to get more organized, you’ve come to the right place! In this post, we’ll give you some tips and tricks on how to manage your time and keep your home running like a well-oiled machine so you can feel like a successful stay at home mom.

Stay at Home Mom Gear

One of the hardest things about being a stay at home mom is trying to keep everything organized. Between taking care of the kids, keeping the house clean, and trying to find time for yourself, it can feel like there’s just not enough hours in the day! But don’t worry, I’m here to help. Here are a few things you can do to stay and feel organized as a stay at home mom.

Make a Schedule and Stick to It

One of the best ways to get organized is to make a schedule and stick to it. This will help you make sure that you’re getting all of your daily tasks done in a timely manner. Trying to do too many things at once will only leave you feeling frazzled and stressed out. Focus on one task at a time and take breaks in between so that you can clear your head. I recommend using a time block schedule so you can see what you should be doing when.

Make Lists of Tasks and Use a Calendar

Another great way to stay organized is to make lists and use a calendar. This will help you prioritize what needs to be done and when. You can use a physical planner or an online calendar to help you keep track of your lists and tasks. I use a weekly planning and task management system that goes hand in hand with my journaling practice.

Delegate Tasks

If you have older kids at home, delegate some of the tasks around the house to them! This will teach them responsibility and help them develop some important life skills. Not only that, but it will free up some much-needed time for you so that you can focus on other things. Try giving them age-appropriate chores such as dusting, vacuuming, or picking up their toys.

Get Rid of Clutter

One of the biggest challenges for any mom is dealing with clutter. Kids have a way of accumulating lots of things and leaving their belongings everywhere they go. It’s important to get rid of clutter as soon as possible so that it doesn’t take over your home. One way to do this is to have a designated place for each child’s things, and your own. Another way to deal with clutter is to have regular decluttering days days where everyone in the family pitches in to tidy up the house.

Keep Your House Clean

One of the best ways to stay organized is to keep your house clean. Having a clean and clutter-free home will help you feel less stressed and more accomplished. Schedule some time each day to tidy up so that it doesn’t build up over time. Use a daily cleaning checklist so you don’t feel like you have to clean every room in one day. You can even involve your kids in this by making it a game! See who can pick up the most toys in 5 minutes or who can make their bed the fastest.

Make Time for Self Care

Last but not least, don’t forget to take some time out for yourself! Being a stay at home mom is a demanding job and it’s important that you take care of yourself both mentally and physically. Whether it’s reading your favorite book, taking a relaxing bath, or going for a walk outside, make sure that you’re taking some time each day to do something that makes YOU happy. You will function better when you are well cared for!

Journaling

Journaling may seem less like an organizational strategy and more like self-care, but when your mind is organized, your life will be as well. Begin a daily journaling practice that includes a daily “thought download” to make sure you get all of your thoughts and ideas down on paper.

Being a stay at home mom is both rewarding and challenging. One of the best ways to be successful at it is by staying organized. By setting a schedule, making lists, and getting rid of clutter, you’ll be on your way to being a more organized stay at home mom. We hope these tips have helped you on your journey to becoming a more organized stay at home mom! Just remember to take things one step at a time and ask for help when you need it. You got this!
