This easy chili recipe is a year round family staple recipe in our house.  We make large batches and freeze the leftovers to serve with hot dogs or hot tamales.

This recipe also fits into our Building Blocks cooking plan following our Southern Pinto Beans Recipe.  With the beans as the first or base recipe, you can serve four meals including this chili.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef Browned and Drained
  • 1 lb Ground Sausage Browned and Drained
  • 90 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 3 large cans Dark Red Kidney Beans
  • 2 pkg McCormick Chili Seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Chili Powder
  • 2 cans Rotel

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot and simmer for 30 minutes.
