My Character Matters Curriculum Review

My Character Matters is a wonderful new, easy to follow character curriculum developed by my friend Stephanie of The Multi Taskin’ Mom.  Stephanie’s homeschooling mom heart shines through in all the extras she created to make this curriculum easy to follow for anyone who would want to invest intentional time in character training.

My Character Matters is a curriculum for studying attributes of a child's character.

About

Written for students ages 8+, My Character Matters is user-friendly, self-paced, and, ready to use just as soon as you download! The only extra materials needed are a dictionary and a Bible; however, the Parent Guide includes everything that your student will need to complete their workbook.

Student Workbook

The student workbook includes 30 character based lessons that your child can work through either along side you or independently. The repetition found throughout the study offers your students a chance to really grasp the concepts that they are learning.

Parent Guide

The My Character Matters Parent Guide contains all of the teaching tips, guides, calendars, and answers in one spot. Stephanie’s goal was to make this curriculum as easy for you to teach as it is for your children to pick up on!

Flash Cards

The My Character Matters Flash Cards are a great supplement to the program.  This set includes each of the elements in the workbook to really help bring home the concepts.  There is no hard and fast way to use these cards. It is totally up to you.  Use them for matching, memory, games, the list goes on and on. I suggest that you print on card stock and laminate for durability!

Activity Pack

The My Character Matters Activity Pack will be released 8/15 and everyone who purchases the My Character Matters Student Workbook before that date will get their copy for free!

How We Use My Character Matters in Our Homeschool

I have been using the MCM sheets in my elementary daily notebooks.  I added a new section to the notebook called “Character.”  I change the character quality weekly so the students spend an entire week focusing on only a single character trait.

Impressions

I am completely impressed with the My Character Matters curriculum.  There is enough “meat” in the daily lessons to make me feel that we are adequately covering the subject, but it is not so lengthy that it consumes a large chunk of our valuable homeschooling time.  Also, Stephanie has made the lessons so simple to follow that there is no pre-planning required.  It is truly a download and go curriculum.

Launch Pricing

During the launch period, you will receive both the My Character Matters Student Workbook and Parent Guide for the price of just the workbook! Stephanie is also including the My Character Matters Flash Card set for free! This is valued at over $25 and you can get it today for over 50% off!  The launch period ends 8/12/16.
