Choosing Love

Love is quite possibly one of the most misunderstood concepts and misused words in our society.  When asked what love is, many hesitate and struggle for a reply.  Most claim that love is some mystical feeling over which we have no control.  A few claim that love is really scientific chemistry.

When most Christians are asked about love, they refer to 1 Corinthians 13, which is commonly known as the “love chapter.”  We speak of love being patient and kind, and not boastful or proud.  However, the apostle Paul most clearly articulates his view of love in the last verse of that chapter where he places love in greater importance than hope, or even faith.

What is love, really?

Love is often described as a feeling, but it goes much deeper than that. True love is an action. It is compassion and charity. It is putting others before yourself. Love is patient and kind. It is not jealous or boastful. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. Love does not hold grudges and will never rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. That’s what love is really about.

Love is more than a feeling – it’s an action

Love is often spoken about as a feeling, something that just comes over us and can’t be helped. But I believe that love is more than just a feeling – it’s an action. It’s something we have to show every day, through our words and our actions. It’s something we have to live out, even when it’s not easy. Because love is patient and kind, it’s not easily angered and it keeps no record of wrongs. So if love is more than just a feeling, what are some ways we can show it? We can show love by being patient with the people we interact with, even when they’re frustrating us. We can show love by being kind to others, even when they don’t deserve it. We can show love by walking out our faith every day, even when we don’t feel like it. So let’s challenge ourselves to show love in everything we do – because love always wins.

Love is the most powerful force in the world

Love is the most powerful force in the world because it can overcome anything. It doesn’t matter if you’re wealthy or poor, love will find a way to overcome any obstacle. Love is also victorious, it changes hearts and minds and makes people better than they were before. Love is the most powerful force in the world because it can overcome anything. It doesn’t matter if you’re wealthy or poor, love will find a way to overcome any obstacle. Love is also victorious, it changes hearts and minds and makes people better than they were before. No matter what life throws at you, love will always be the most powerful force in the world.

How to choose love in your own life

Everyone has their own idea of what love is. For some, it is a feeling that overwhelzes and creates daily living. for others, love is preferring the well-being of others over your own. Love can also be shown in acts of compassion and selflessness, like serving others without expecting anything in return. However you choose to define it, love is an important part of life. It can make us feel happy, fulfilled, and connected to something larger than ourselves. If you’re looking for love in your life, start by showing compassion and care for those around you. You may be surprised at how much love you receive in return.
